Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

1) Curating and editing film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience

2) Taking a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications

3) Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity

4) Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film

5) Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects

6) Create rough and final cuts

7) Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running

8) Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process

9) Ability to edit video content for both digital and mainline consumption and platform wise content requirements (eg: Reels, brand films, interviews, animation based videos etc.)

10) Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.

11) Ability to work on animation based videos will be an added bonus

Desired Candidate Profile :

1) Proven work experience as a Video Editor (atleast 2-3 years)

2) Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media)

3) Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)

4) Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

5) Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

6) Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing

7) Creative mind and storytelling skills

8) Bachelors degree in film studies, cinematography or related field

Schedule:  Monday to  Friday ( 1stnd and 3rd Saturday working)
